What is Big Mouth Bites Chilis?
Big-mouth bites chilis are small cheeseburgers loaded with crispy bacon, sauteed onion, and ranch sauce. They are slider burgers presented with cheddar cheese on top. Although the best thing about these bites is that Chili’s use pickled jalapenos in their ranch sauce which is why these big bites taste so delicious. You can also serve this with fries, sauteed vegetables, and much more.
What will be needed to make Big Mouth Bites Chilis?
You will need some essential ingredients to make these tremendous big mouth bites chilis. The ingredients are as follows:
1- Ground Beef:
You will need ground beef to make patties with a simple seasoning of Black Pepper, salt, and garlic powder. It would be better to use medium ground beef because they stay moist and don’t shrink much during cooking. You can add chilli flakes to it to make it a little spicier.
2- Slider Buns:
You can use any type of slider bun, whether it be a homemade or market one. But make sure that the buns are smaller in size.
You will need thinly sliced bacon for Big mouth bites chilis.
Who doesn’t love cheese? This is my favourite topping. We would prefer you to use cheddar cheese because it has a strong, sharp smell of cheese that pairs perfectly with bacon. However, you can also add spicy cheese or mozzarella to it.
5- Caramelized Onions:
Caramelised onions are served with the big mouth bites chilis because they taste delicious!
6- Ranch or pickled Jalapenos:
Do you know why chili’s big bites are so different? Because they use a secret ingredient in their ranch dressing which is pickled jalapenos. It adds a perfect flavour without making the taste too spicy. A perfect amount of the ranch is used on the top for the saucy taste in every bite.
Big Mouth Bites Chilis Recipe
- 1 ½ lbs Medium Ground Beef
- Dinner Roll or Slider Buns
- 1 Slice Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Medium Onion
- ½ lb Bacon Sliced
- Salt and Pepper (according to taste)
Ranch dressing ingredients:
- 3 Cups Prepared Ranch Sauce/Dressing
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Cilantro
- ¼ Cup Pickled Jalapeno (finely chopped)
- 1 Tomato Chopped
- Add the ranch dressing, cilantro, tomato, and pickled jalapenos into a blender and blend it until it gets smooth. Keep it in the fridge a couple of hours in advance because the flavour increases the longer it sits in the fridge.
- Cook the bacon in the large fry pan over a medium to high flame until it gets crispy brown. Drain on a paper towel. Now add diced onion to the heated pan along with the bacon grease and saute the onion until it gets tender.
- Add a little butter to the pan and cut the side of each bun. Place the cut side of each bun on the pan and toast it for 3 – 4 minutes.
- Shift the ground beef into a bowl. Add salt, black pepper, and garlic powder and give it a nice mix until it combines well. Now make small patties. Heat the skillet with the remaining bacon greasing. Add the patties and fry them until their texture turns a crispy brown. Add cheese on top of the patties 2 minutes before you remove the patties from the pan.
Assembling of Slider:
The assembly of big mouth bites chilis is very easy. Follow the given steps to perfectly assemble the burgers:
- So first, you spread the layer of jalapeno ranch sauce on the toasted top of the bun.
- Add a spoon of sauteed onion on each bottom of the bun.
- Top each bun with two cooked beef patties.
- Now add the cheese slice on top of the patties and place the top buns on the sliders.
